Policies & Business Practices

 

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Cruz Mobile Repair provides mobile and in-shop mechanical services across Southern California. We specialize in light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles, diesel and gasoline engines, heavy equipment and farm machinery, hydraulic systems, diagnostics, and full-service repairs.

We offer on-site mobile service, vehicle and equipment pickup and return, as well as full in-shop repair services to meet a wide range of customer needs.


 

LABOR RATES & BILLING STRUCTURE

The standard labor rate is $179.00 per hour. Heavy equipment and specialized work may be billed at rates up to $225.00 per hour. Diagnostic services may be billed separately unless otherwise stated.

Labor is calculated using industry-standard estimating systems such as AllDATA. Final billing may vary depending on actual repair conditions, additional parts or labor required, and unforeseen complications that arise during the repair process.

All estimates provided are preliminary and do not reflect the final total.


 

PAYMENT TERMS

Payment is due immediately upon completion of service. Accepted forms of payment include cash, credit or debit cards, and approved digital payment methods processed through secure platforms (Zelle, www.cruzmobilerepairpay.com).

Failure to make payment may result in the application of storage fees, initiation of a vehicle lien process in accordance with California law, and potential legal recovery actions.


 

PARTS POLICY

Parts used in repairs may include OEM, aftermarket, or customer-supplied components, subject to approval.

Customer-supplied parts are installed without any warranty. The customer assumes all risk associated with these parts, and all labor required for installation remains billable.

Parts pricing is subject to change based on supplier pricing and includes applicable California sales tax.


 

WARRANTY POLICY

A standard warranty of 30 days or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first, applies to qualifying repairs only.

This warranty is valid only if the vehicle meets original manufacturer specifications, has not been tampered with after service, and is returned to Cruz Mobile Repair for inspection prior to any repairs being performed elsewhere.

Warranty coverage does not apply to customer-supplied parts, misuse or neglect, or pre-existing conditions not addressed during the original repair.

No cash refunds are provided. All warranty claims are resolved through repair or exchange only.


 

STORAGE & ABANDONMENT POLICY

A grace period of five calendar days is provided after the customer is notified that the vehicle or equipment is ready for pickup or pending further action. Storage fees begin on the sixth day.

Storage rates for light-duty vehicles are $55 per day. Rates for equipment or special circumstances may vary.

All abandonment and lien procedures are handled in accordance with California Civil Code Section 3068. Failure to resolve outstanding balances may result in a lien sale, and the customer may forfeit ownership rights if the matter remains unresolved.


 

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

Customers are required to provide accurate vehicle or equipment information, approve repairs before work begins, make timely payments, and maintain respectful communication with staff.

All customers are expected to follow a professional code of conduct. Harassment, interference with technicians, pressuring staff for rushed or unsafe work, or undermining technician judgment will not be tolerated.

Failure to comply may result in refusal of service, removal from the premises, or legal action if necessary.


 

DIAGNOSTIC & REPAIR AUTHORIZATION

All work begins only after verbal or written authorization has been received from the customer.

Diagnostic procedures may reveal additional issues not initially identified. In such cases, additional authorization will be requested before proceeding with further repairs.


 

MOBILE SERVICE POLICY

Mobile service may include travel fees depending on distance and location. Customers must provide a safe working environment and proper access to the vehicle or equipment.

Cruz Mobile Repair reserves the right to decline service at any location deemed unsafe or unsuitable and may recommend that the repair be completed at the shop instead.


 REFUND POLICY

Cruz Mobile Repair does not provide cash refunds for services performed, labor completed, diagnostic time, or parts ordered or installed. Once work has been authorized and performed, all charges remain the responsibility of the customer.

If there is a concern regarding qualifying repair work completed by Cruz Mobile Repair, the issue must be brought back to Cruz Mobile Repair for inspection. Any approved warranty-related resolution will be handled by repair or exchange only, at the sole discretion of Cruz Mobile Repair, subject to the terms of the applicable warranty policy.

No refund will be issued for customer-supplied parts, special-order parts, electrical components, diagnostic time, teardown labor, or repairs affected by misuse, neglect, outside tampering, or pre-existing conditions not originally addressed during service.

Deposits paid for special-order parts, reserved labor time, or scheduled service may be non-refundable.

 

LIABILITY DISCLAIMER

Cruz Mobile Repair is not responsible for pre-existing damage or failures, delays caused by parts availability, manufacturer defects, or any indirect or consequential damages resulting from repairs or delays.


  

SERVICE LIMITATIONS

Cruz Mobile Repair reserves the right to refuse service at any time and may stop work due to safety concerns, risk of non-payment, or customer misconduct.


 

COMMUNICATION POLICY

Customers will be notified of any delays, additional repairs required, or issues related to parts availability.

Completion times are not guaranteed due to factors including parts delays, supplier issues, and unforeseen mechanical complications.


 

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By authorizing service, the customer acknowledges that they have read and understand all policies and agree to the stated terms and conditions. The customer also accepts full financial responsibility for all approved work performed.
